MiaoLingPlasmid Launches In-House Automated Equipment for Standardized Plasmid Fulfillment

1. Automated Mechanical Capping Reduces Manual Workload

The system is equipped with precision-controlled robotic mechanisms specifically designed to handle commonly used 1.5 mL snap-cap microcentrifuge tubes and automatically complete the tube-capping process.

When plasmid tubes are capped manually in large batches, repetitive handling can lead to operator fatigue and increase the risk of improperly sealed tubes or leakage. The automated capping mechanism applies a consistent procedure to each tube, reducing manual workload while helping ensure secure closure and minimizing the risk of leakage during transportation.

Behind the reliable fulfillment of a large inventory of in-stock plasmids, standardized production and automated handling equipment play a critical role in maintaining delivery speed and consistent product quality. To optimize the entire plasmid order fulfillment process, MiaoLingPlasmid has independently developed an automated tube capping, labeling, laser coding, and tray-loading system. The integrated system covers the key steps involved in plasmid shipment preparation, significantly reducing manual handling errors and improving the efficiency of high-volume order processing. This enables MiaoLingPlasmid to consistently deliver high-quality plasmid products to researchers.

1. Automated Mechanical Capping Reduces Manual Workload

The system is equipped with precision-controlled robotic mechanisms specifically designed to handle commonly used 1.5 mL snap-cap microcentrifuge tubes and automatically complete the tube-capping process.

2. High-Precision Automated Labeling for Consistent Presentation

The automated labeling system achieves positioning accuracy within ±0.5 mm and is compatible with circular labels designed for a variety of centrifuge tubes. It can accommodate small research batches, routine bulk orders, and simultaneous production across multiple batches.

Compared with manual labeling, automated labeling provides consistent positioning and helps prevent crooked or wrinkled labels. Product labels remain neat and uniform, allowing researchers to quickly identify catalog numbers and product information and improving ease of use during experiments.

3. Integrated Laser Coding for Permanent Product Identification

After labeling, tubes proceed to the laser coding stage, where information such as the production date, production batch number, and product serial number can be permanently marked on the tube.

Laser-engraved markings are resistant to abrasion and less susceptible to being removed than conventional labels. Even if the external label becomes worn over time, the information engraved directly onto the tube can remain readable, supporting product traceability throughout the product lifecycle and reducing the risk of information loss during long-term storage.

4. Customizable Automated Tray Loading for Continuous Operation

The system supports customizable tube-array configurations and automatically arranges tubes into trays according to the selected layout. When a tray is full, the system automatically alerts the operator to replace it.

This allows the entire workflow to operate continuously without requiring dedicated personnel to monitor the equipment at all times, helping reduce waiting time during order fulfillment and improve overall processing efficiency.

2. How Automation Improves Plasmid Fulfillment

Complete automated workflow

1. Faster Order Fulfillment

By integrating tube capping, labeling, laser coding, and tray loading into a single automated workflow, the system replaces multiple manual processing steps and reduces the time required to prepare large-volume plasmid orders for shipment.

This helps MiaoLingPlasmid maintain its 8-hour fast-shipping service commitment for eligible in-stock plasmid orders.

2. Consistent Product Presentation

Manual processing can result in variations such as crooked labels, inconsistent cap closure, or handwritten identification errors. Automated processing applies standardized procedures across batches, helping ensure a consistent and professional appearance for plasmids prepared for shipment.

3. More Consistent Product Quality

Automation helps minimize handling errors such as incomplete sealing, label detachment, and inconsistent product identification. By improving standardization at the fulfillment stage, the system helps reduce potential risks associated with handling and labeling while supporting consistent quality across plasmid batches.

4. Flexible Capacity for Different Order Sizes

Whether processing a small research sample, a routine laboratory order, or a large-scale custom plasmid production run, the automated system can be adapted to different shipment volumes and fulfillment requirements.

3. Advancing Global Research Support Through In-House Automation

From building a 150,000+ plasmid resource library to implementing proprietary automated production-support equipment, MiaoLingPlasmid continues to optimize its infrastructure across the entire workflow, from production and quality control to order fulfillment and shipment.

By leveraging standardized and automated processes, MiaoLingPlasmid supports reliable plasmid order fulfillment for more than 6,000 research institutions across China, as well as customers in international markets.

Looking ahead, MiaoLingPlasmid will continue to upgrade its production-support equipment and optimize its manufacturing processes. Through stable, efficient, and standardized genetic vector products and services, we aim to provide researchers worldwide with a more reliable plasmid supply experience and support innovation across the life sciences.
